Expanding his influence within Cobra’s ranks, paranormal expert Crystal Ball found a strange synergy with certain members of Cobra Ninja troops, the Night-Creepers. Because of their Zen-like discipline and the organisation’s own delvings into areas of arcane mysticism, these adherents are particularly well-suited to manipulate D.I.R.E. (Dread-Inducing Responsive Energy) Tech manifestations. Similar to Crystal Ball, they’re capable of emanating both mental and physical projections without an accompanying containment pack. The long-term effects of their exposure to D.I.R.E. Tech have yet to be revealed though members of this new division have reportedly demonstrated increased delusions of grandeur and megalomania.
